3 Sounds of ED – ED Sounds – Your students will love this OG ED Suffix lesson. This “Sounds of ED” packet features engaging resources to help your students learn all about when to use the different sounds of ed when reading a word. With these ed sound rules activities, the students will be given the opportunity to identify and write words with the -ed with many different learning experiences which will help them master this spelling and reading rule. There are “Sounds ED” rules posters, lesson guides, independent work, cut and paste, sorting, fluency practice and graphic organizers. Although these activities work perfectly as an Orton Gillingham lesson, the pages will work with any reading program! The science of reading has taught us that students need explicit instruction on the rules of reading.
