With this download, students are given the chance to come up with the meaning of a variety of acronyms and abbreviations to further their reading comprehension skills. The content is broken down into three specific sections: Mixed Review, States, and Texting Abbreviations. Although originally designed for special education students, any teacher looking to integrate relevant abbreviation instruction into their classroom would benefit from the simplified approach this PRINT AND GO packet offers!

How I Use This In My Classroom: I print out each section onto bright, colored paper. Then I laminate them and cut each of the rectangles out. Once they are cut, I use a hole punch on one of the corners and feed a binder ring through the colored sets. I then have students participate in completing these task cards in centers using vis a vis makers. This way, many students can use this activity for years to come!
