These ALL, AM and AN sound and reading flashcards are great for reading practice after the sounds have been introduced. They can also be used to build confidence in sound recognition as well as part of a reading intervention strategy. 

 

This pack is suitable for students in Kindergarten, First Grade or Second Grade. It contains basic words and does not contain any consonant blends or digraphs. It does include some ‘sight word’ vocabulary such as ‘the’, ‘he’, ‘to’, ‘you’ and ‘my’.

 

The pack includes: 

 

  • Activity Instructions – How to Use the Flashcards

  • ‘ALL’, ‘AM’ and ‘AN’ sound flashcards. Each flashcard has the sound and keyword picture. 

  • ‘ALL’, ‘AM’ and ‘AN’ reading flashcards. Each flashcard has the sound and keyword picture, two words, a phrase and a sentence. These can be printed and used as ‘take home’ flashcards. 

  • Full page size versions of each flashcard for use with a group or class of students.

 

  • A link to a Google Slides™ presentation of all the sound and reading flashcards

 

Preparation:

The printable flashcards need preparation involving printing (and laminating if needed) as well as cutting out.
