This engaging interactive alphabet practice book will help your students practice letter recognition, letter sounds, and many beginning sight words – and now it includes a bonus DIGITAL version with AUDIO!
This book for the LETTER Q is black and white for coloring, and the last page is designed so that your emergent readers and writers can write and illustrate their own page for the letter sound. Authoring the last page creates ownership for the students, and a quick check to see that they got it for the teacher. They will treasure their books and enjoy reading them again and again!
Here’s what you will get…
Use this alphabet reader in a reading or writing workshop, for buddy reading, during small group lessons, assign it in Google Classroom, keep a copy in their reading basket, or even send it home to read with adults.
There is a rhythm to these alphabet books. For example: The H book (which is free HERE) starts with H, H, /h/, /h/, /h/ Hammer, hammer, hammer. The student would read the letter twice, say the sound 3 times, and then the word 3 times. Then the next page includes the word in a sentence. Great practice for letter sounds AND sight word reading!
TEACHERS LIKE YOU SAID…
Sarah C. says, These books are perfect for all readers. They are kid-friendly and very engaging. The students love to read them with a partner, the teacher, and then take them home to read with a parent. Please make more of these. This is a must need in all classrooms!
Hannah W. says, “I absolutely love these! Will definitely be using them consistently next year!
