Here is an alphabet book and emergent reader for the sound of the letter Q. It includes predictable text and lots of sight word practice. The last page is designed so that your students can write/illustrate their own page for the letter sound.
There is a rhythm to all of the alphabet books. For example: The H book starts with H, H, /h/ /h/ /h/. Hammer, hammer, hammer. The student would read the letter twice, say the sound 3 times, and then the word 3 times. Then the next page includes the word in a sentence. Great practice for letter sounds AND sight word reading!
