Item description

Students reflect on spring, Easter, environmental issues, and more with this daily journal writing package, designed especially for early learners and special education students in the self-contained or regular classroom. It contains 20 writing prompts–enough for the entire month of April– each at 5 different levels, covering a variety of writing styles and genres. Use these pages for daily journal writing, literacy centres, early learners, and students with autism or other developmental delays.

Every writing prompt comes in 5 different levels:

Level 1 for non-writers (students simply colour/mark their writing choices)

Level 2 for emergent writers (students trace their writing choices)

Level 3 for emergent writers (students copy their writing choices)

Level 4 for beginning writers (students compose writing choices using the provided prompts, sentence starters, and word banks, as well as classroom resources)

Level 5 for independent writers (stationary for students to write independently using classroom resources)

*please see the preview for examples of each level*
