Item description

Get students to know more about their state with this handy book that can be carried around on field trips, walks, and drives. Student will build their own mini book on Arizona and perform online research to provide their answers. By researching, students will become more proficient in using terms to find what they are looking for online while also seeking reliable sources of information. The book will contain 10 pages for students to fill out and include empty blank pages for students to gather any additional information they find interesting about their state.

The printable book includes the following details for students to fill:

  • most populated city in the state
  • state capital
  • state bird
  • state flower
  • Native American tribes that live(d) in the state
  • bordering states
  • state nicknames
  • natural resources
  • empty page for additional information

Students will use the map to mark capitals and most densely populated cities. The book can easily be stapled to put together.

This will allow students to have attention to keywords, know better how to research information on a webpage, and learn key details they might not have known. This a perfect stepping stone for those students that have not done research before and help them feel more capable and comfortable for more in depth research in the future.

The book is easy to print as each page you print will have two copies of the same page in one. Simply cut in the center and easily stack and make different sections for students to pick a page from each pile to build their own book.

See the thumbnails to see how it will look!

May your students enjoy researching and learning new information about their state.
