Q-TIP PAINTING

This back to school themed Q-tip painting activity is great as a fine motor activity for preK, TK, Kindergarten and 1st grade! These NO PREP worksheets are as easy as print and GO! Simply add some paint and q-tips or cotton swabs and you have a center filled with fun and color!

These 29 cotton swab painting worksheets were made with fine motor development in mind! This allows students to strengthen their fingers and develop a good pencil grip. Students not only get to work on their hand and eye coordination but they also practice tracing and back to school vocabulary.

DOT MARKER PAINTING – DAB A DOT

This back to school themed dot marker painting activity is great as a fine motor activity The 29 dot marker or dab a dot painting worksheets were made with fine motor development in mind! This allows students to strengthen their fingers and develop a good pencil grip. Students not only get to work on their hand and eye coordination but they also practice tracing and back to school vocabulary.

PLAY DOUGH MATS

These back to school play dough mats are a hands on and engaging way to build fine motor skills while practicing vocabulary, color matching and tracing! Included are 32 dough mats with a school or school supplies theme. Use them during morning work, rotations, small groups or individual work. For long lasting mats, we recommend laminating them or placing them into protective sheets/pouches.

There are 32 dough mats in color and black and white. Each mat is half page in size. Students trace the vocabulary word and build the image using colored dough. Simply laminate and cut down the center, place into a tub with some colored dough, a dry erase marker and you have a center filled with fun!

SNAP CUBE CENTERS

These back to school snap cube centers are a hands on and engaging way to build fine motor skills while practicing vocabulary, color matching, counting and tracing! Included are 4 differentiated snap cube activities with a back to school theme. These are great for those first few months at school or anytime of the year. Use them during morning work, rotations, small groups or individual work. We recommend laminating them or placing them into protective sheets/pouches to turn them into write and wipe mats.

Snap Cube Center 1 : 17 Snap Cube mats (true to size) where students trace the word, cover the picture on the mat using the colored snap cubes, count how many of each color they used, and then find the total number of snap cubes used to complete the design.

Snap Cube Center 2 : Students roll a die, and add the correct number of cubes on the black and white design. They keep rolling and covering until the design is complete. Then they count how many of each color they used, and the total number of snap cubes used.

Snap Cube Center 3 : This section contains 13 black and white snap cube mats which are true to size. Students choose their own colors and build the design by placing the snap cube directly onto the mat. They also trace the word and count how many cubes they used in total.

You could laminate these or place them into protective pouches and use them over and over as write/wipe mats. Alternatively you can use them as worksheets and get the students to color the design according to the colors they chose after they finish building it.

Snap Cube Center 4 : This section contains 20 colored task cards with a picture of the design. Students are required to build the design (without a mat) and then fill in the recording sheet (optional).They record how many cubes used in total and then draw a picture of their design.
