This ready-to-go spelling activity will save you tons of time! Your students will be engaged and working their spelling words in a fun way, while you’re saving yourself time!

The BL Consonant Blend Memory Game has three engaging levels!

1. Picture Match: Students will find the picture matches.

2. Picture-Word Match: Students will match the picture to the word.

3. Word Match: Students will find the word matches.

All of the cards come in beautiful full color as well as black and white!


To Play:

Students can play independently, in pairs, or in a small group. Each player takes turn flipping over two cards, so everyone can see the cards. If it’s a match, they can keep it and have another turn. If it’s not a match, flip the cards back over, and the next player can have a turn. The winner has the most matches at the end of the game.

Tip: To increase phonemic awareness (pictures) and reading skills (words), have the player say each word aloud as they flip cards over in playing the game.
