Item description

I love using graphic organizers! Comprehension is a compilation of many different, and sometimes complex, skills; using a graphic organizer provides my students with an easy to understand visual. I use this organizer to help students organize the events in a story or passage. This is a skill that translates from narrative text to informational text like social studies. I usually get the kids to circle, highlight, or underline the key words that they identify.

You can use this backline master to project on a digital whiteboard, blow it up to post in the room as an artifact, and photocopy so that each student has an individual copy.

Here’s to Happy Kids and Happy Teaching!
