Looking for a new, fun and creative way to practice directed drawing?

These back to school themed 5 step directed drawing pennants or writing prompts are a fun and engaging activity to practice drawing and writing at the same time. Not only do students draw, write and color, but these pennants can then be cut and stapled over some string and turned into a classroom bunting that will decorate your classroom walls, doors, windows or hallways!

Imagine how proud your students will be seeing their work hanging in their room or in the school hallway!

Images include a crayon box, eraser, lunchbox, desk, book, school house, school bus, pencil, glue stick and backpack.

What is included?

There are 10 5-step directed drawing images that come in 6 different options! That’s a total of 54 differentiated directed drawing pennants for you to choose from!

Option 2: Pennant design 2 – students draw the image, trace the word and decorate!

There is a word bank to help with vocabulary, spelling or just to give them ideas. (Writing lines suited for grades 1 and above)

Option 4: Pennant design 2 – students draw the image and write about it. It could be one sentence or even practicing writing a few words, depending on the level of your students. There is a word bank to help with vocabulary, spelling or just to give them ideas. (Writing lines suited for grades K to 1)
