Using familiar fairy tales and fables, this resources helps students learn to identify character traits based on the character’s actions and thoughts. These activities can be used for instruction or as a literacy center activity.

Each character card has a picture with space for two traits that describe the character. After reading/listening to the story, students discuss the character and his/her actions in the story, then choose two traits that describe the character.

 

The accompanying worksheet allows students to prove their thinking by citing evidence from the story.
