This resource is a growing resource which contains a webquest and listening activity for famous Classical composers and some of their most famous compositions. The questions are able to be researched on the internet rather than one website, to ensure that your students can answer the questions without the risk of broken links.
Each composer webquest is following by a listening activity for one of their most famous works. Recordings for these can be found easily, and so this would make a great distance learning activity (but is also great for the classrom!)
To date, the composers and their compositions included in this resource are:
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Movement one from Symphony No. 40 in G Minor)
Ludwig van Beethoven (Movement one from Symphony No 5 in C Minor)
Pyotr Ilych Tchaikovsky (1812 Overture). NOW ADDED: Bach (Movement One of Brandenburg Concerto No. 3)
I am adding more composers to this growing resource, and will look to include in the near future. I am also updating with Answer keys for each page:
