Item description

This is a four quadrant collaborative Martin Luther King Jr. coordinate plane mystery graphing picture that’s perfect for Martin Luther King Jr. Day or Black History Month. Working in groups, students complete four separate mystery pictures, cut out the coordinate grids, and then tape them together to create one large picture.

The finished dimensions of the fully completed mystery picture is 15 inches x 18.5 inches.

These mystery pictures have some longer lines (the lines creating the hands), but I have included a helpful sheet for students that shows them how to easily draw straight lines when the slope is either 1 or -1, which it is for all of the longer lines in the pictures. Please see the product preview for more details.

Each mystery picture piece is in all four quadrants and they use whole numbers only.

Mystery pictures are a fun way for students to practice their graphing skills. Students just plot the coordinate pairs in order, connecting them with a line until they come to the word STOP. Here they stop the line they are working on and start a new one. When they have plotted all the coordinate pairs their picture is complete.
