Your students will learn about Columbus Day with these fun and interactive NO PREP trivia games and WebQuest. Your students will be engaged and motivated as they learn about this holiday’s history, events, people, places, trade, and more!

WEBQUEST

Some questions students will locate easily while others they will have to explore deeper to uncover. This WebQuest can be completed individually, in pairs, or in small groups. Great for homework, small group activities, sub plans, and virtual learning.

THREE TRIVIA GAMES

These small group or full class activities can be used as an engaging opener, sub plans, or built into your lesson plans. This resource comes with 40 multiple-choice questions and instructions for three different games. Games can be played moving around the classroom or sitting in seats or on the floor. Also included is a handout of the trivia for students to use as a quiet activity at their desks.

Question Examples:

• In which country was Columbus born? (Italy)
• What were the names of the 3 ships upon which Columbus set sail? (Niña, the Pinta, and the Santa Maria)
• The King and Queen promised Columbus 10% of whatever he found abroad, a noble title, and what? (The rights to govern any land he found.)
