This product is great for talking with students about what it means to be a positive communicator. It is targeted towards students who need a little extra support navigating friendships. Specifically, it is intended to teach students about using positive communication skills in the areas of facial expressions, body language, words, tone, and gestures. Start by reviewing the slides as a group. Next, there are three follow up activities, enabling you to select the one that is best for your group and their developmental level. The first activity is Communication Dos & Don’ts Click & Play Game found on the included PowerPoint. The second activity includes a Communication Dos sort, cut, and glue worksheet and a Communication Dos and Don’ts sort, cut, and glue activity. The third activity is a Communication Dos worksheet enabling students to fill in their own ideas for being a positive communicator. Blank copies of Activity 2 and 3 are also included if you would like to make your own actions/scenarios specific to your group of students. This product would be great for a small group, individual student session, or as a classroom lesson.
