Mini Math Mysteries are designed to be done in one class period. There are 5 x Math Mysteries in this pack. At the top of each page is a story to set the scene, students then answer the questions to narrow down the suspects and options until they have solved these daily math questions.

These measurement worksheets and activities provide an opportunity to practice math skills as well as problem solving skills in a more practical context. The high interest topics in these mysteries are also highly motivating for this age group and will capture their imagination.

These math mysteries are designed for fourth and fifth grade students. Could also be used with struggling sixth grade students that need a little extra work and reinforcement in converting customary unitss. I also leave some of the mysteries for my sub teacher and are perfect for first day back from winter break and summer holidays.

Math Mysteries are an independent escape room (or crack the code) type of activity where students identify suspects with puzzles, word problems, and games instead of using locks.
