I created this packet for my own 2nd grade class. I am not thrilled with some of the textbook options. The entire packet is based on 2.MD.8, This includes pages for using the fewest coins, choosing the correct amount of coins, word problems, adding different coins, adding up pictured objects and finding the total. It would not let me upload the entire packet, said it was too large.

I have attempted numerous times to upload a full preview, but it will not let me. This packet has 122 pages and only covers coins. Part 2 covers the bills and coins combined.

6 pages- introducing the front and back of the coins, and front of the bills.

3 colored pages to use for instruction

4 pages- counting pennies

10 pages- counting nickels

10 pages- counting pennies/nickels together

10 pages- counting dimes

10 pages- counting pennies, nickels, dimes together

3 pages- counting quarters

2 pages- counting half dollars

13 pages- counting all coins

2 pages- adding half dollars to the other coins

8 pages- using fewest coins
