These back to school lunchbox counting to 10 clip cards will help your students strengthen their number recognition, counting skills to 10, practice ten frames and learn which numbers are even and odd. Use them in a center, in rotations, as task cards, as a count the room game or scoot game. They can be used lots of different ways to keep your learners engaged and MOVING! Get those wiggles out!

Simply print and laminate the clip cards and write the room cards, the counting mat and the number cards. You could also laminate all the different recording sheets so that they become write’n’wipe mats!

What is included:

Clip Cards: 11 clip cards for numbers 0-10. Students count and use a clothes pin, peg or any small manipulative on hand to cover the correct answer. Alternatively they can even circle their answer using a dry erase marker.

You can place a sticker on the back of the correct answer so it becomes self checking. (Color and BW)

Write the room Cards: 10 Cards that show number 1 -10. Laminate, cut and hang around the room and allow students to walk around and find each card then fill in the recording sheet. I have included a large variety of recording sheets for you to differentiate for your students. (Color and BW)

Counting Mat, counting items and Number Cards: Laminate the mat, number cards and the lunchbox items. Cut out each item and each number card.. Allow students to pick a card and then they add that many lunchbox items to the mat. You could provide them with a recording sheet to keep track of their work. They then remove the items, pick another card and do it again until all 10 cards are finished. (Color and BW)

If you do not want to print out the lunchbox items, you could use any manipulative you have on hand such as pom poms, counters, mini erasers, cubes etc!

Recording Sheet options:

• 2 Generic worksheets for you to dictate what the students need to write (could be number word, number decomposition, tally marks, dots, whatever you want!)
• Color the number
• Trace the number
• Fill in the ten frame
• Pick if odd or even

Number hunt Search mats:
