These short vowel CVC word poems and worksheets are the perfect decodable text passages and activities for struggling and beginning readers. They are aligned with the science of reading and the Orton-Gillingham approach to provide a sequential and systematic way to develop early reading skills.

There are 3 poems for each short vowel sound as well as 2 review poems. Poems contain only simple CVC words and beginning sight words. A total of 125 printable pages give plenty of practice and allow teachers to choose extra reinforcement for those who need it.
