grade structured literacy lessons.

This
resource includes three sets of differentiated, decodable text in the form of
short vowel silly sentences—144 sentences total:

•
Set 1: 6 sentences for each short vowel – These are the shortest sentences, for
your students who are still struggling with decoding and don’t know very many
high-frequency words.

•
Set 2: 18 sentences for each short vowel – These are longer sentences, for more
advanced students who may know more high-frequency words.

•
Set 3: 24 challenge sentences with all short vowels mixed together


These
card sets will help you meet the needs of a varied group of young readers, and
are tightly-controlled to feature only CVC words and high-frequency words—there
are no consonant blends or digraphs in any of these sentences. These are
perfect to use after explicit phonics activities such as word building and
spelling dictation, and you can print them two ways—as large, full-page cards,
or as smaller cards (they’ll print 3 on a page).

This
resource is NO-PREP if you print as full page cards; if you print as smaller
cards, it is VERY LOW-PREP, requiring only a few minutes to cut the cards
