Item description

Design your own business project.

This projected has been designed and scaffolded to allow
students to produce the best end result. Using the guided flipchart, you will
guide your students through the process of designing a new business. Students
will start by brainstorming ideas for different businesses. Once they have
chosen an idea, they will explain it in more detail, design a logo, come up
with a business plan, write a business introduction, and put it all together on
a poster. Students will then present their ideas to the class. When groups are
presenting, other students are given an imaginary 1 million dollars and told to
choose how they would invest it across several of the apps.

I have personally completed this project around 4 times in
my own classes. Students have really enjoyed it and the end results have been
great. It took my students between 3 – 5 hours to complete in groups of 2 – 4,
but could be extended or shortened depending on how much time you have. I hope
your students have as much fun with it.
