These digraph crown activities are a hands-on and engaging way to introduce and practice digraph word work. A fun and interactive activity to practice important literacy skills (reading, writing, decoding), supplement your phonics program and build fine motor skills. Your kiddos will love making and wearing these crowns.

 

This digraph activity is designed for you to use in class to complement lessons, in groups to support and reinforce learning, individually to promote knowledge and understanding, set out in centers, morning tubs or early finishers bins to use independently, print out and use at home… the possibilities are endless!

 

15 Crowns included:

– 8 Beginning Digraph Crowns

(SH, CH, TH, PH, WH, KN, QU, WR)

– 7 Ending Digraph Crowns

(CK, NG, CH, SH, TH, TCH, DGE)

 

Instructions:

Color the pictures and trace the digraph & words on the crown. Then, cut and paste the pictures to match the words. Next, cut and paste the crown onto a strip of cardstock or writing strip paper. Finally, staple the ends together to create the crown.
