2. Story Elements Worksheets
Students will choose from a menu of different options to identify the setting, characters, problem, and solution. Three differentiated versions are provided:
Multiple choice answers
Writing prompts and lines.
3. Story Sequencing Worksheets
Students cut and paste 6 different sentences into the correct order, then draw a picture. Two levels are provided:
Simpler sentences + vocabulary pictures
Longer sentences and no pictures
4. “What Do You Know” Worksheet
Students identify information that they know about dinosaurs, write down questions, and identify sources of information they can use to learn more.
5. “A New Ending” Worksheet
Students can write or draw an alternate ending to “Dinosaurs Before Dark.”
6. Vocabulary Matching
Help your students learn some of the trickier words included in these texts! Two levels are provided:
Matching the vocabulary words to written definitions
Matching the words to the picture clues.
Both versions use the definitions and picture clues found on the Chapter Comprehension Worksheets.
