THE 4 DIFFERENTIATED PAGE VARIATIONS FOR DRAWING AND WRITING PAGES

1. Drawing windows are unfilled and ready for students to make

their mark.

2. Drawing windows contain the first step of each directed drawing. This establishes size and placement of the drawing. Students will complete the remaining steps of the drawings following the step-by-step guides.

3. Drawing windows contain the entire image, of each directed drawing, in gray tone. Students can trace the gray lines with or without following the step-by-step instructions. (Note: some copy machines may not print gray tones well, or at all. Please, check your copier before making copies of this set of pages.)

4. This variation is not a directed drawing activity but a coloring activity. The drawing windows contain the full image of each directed drawing in black line. Students will not draw with this set, but color in the images. This set has been included primarily for when class time is short, or for students who were absent and need to make up the project. These pages can also be used as samples to show students what the completed drawings will be.

DIFFERENTIATED STEP-BY-STEP GUIDES

2 variations in step-by-step drawing guides add an additional layer of differentiation.

In addition to a black line only version, step-by-step drawing guides come in a version in black line with next steps to be drawn highlighted in blue line. Steps highlighted in blue line make it even easier for students to immediately discern which steps to draw next. Both variations contain 6 steps for each drawing.
