Distribute to Simplify Expressions – Digital Self-Checking Valentine’s Day Activity

Are your students tired of completing boring math problems from their text or workbook? Do they struggle with simplifying expressions? Math is fun again with this self-checking Valentine’s Spot the Difference Google Sheet! This Distribute to Simplify Expressions Self-Checking math activity is perfect for engaging your students in simplifying expressions. I hope your students have as much fun with this activity as mine did!

In the self-checking activity, Spot the Difference, students answer questions to reveal the hidden images.  The students answer the questions in any order they prefer.  After solving the question on a whiteboard, scratch paper, or the provided recording sheet, students type their final answer into the appropriate cell.  When questions are answered correctly, their answer turns green and the image becomes more clear.  When a question is incorrect, the answer turns red and the image does not become more clear. After correctly answering all the questions, students are rewarded with a fun Spot the Difference picture where they can drop and drop the magnifying glass over the 10 differences in the picture.
