This bundle includes a total of 9 Fairy Tale / Fable interactive interactive books (3 titles–Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood, The Three Billy Goats Gruff–each in 3 different levels). These adapted books are designed to help children develop reading comprehension skills and practice answering wh- questions. The easy read books are perfect for units of study on fairy tales, special education and regular classes, students with autism or developmental delays, guided reading, literacy centers, work tasks, early learners, and more!

 

Students read the sentence(s) on each page using the simple sight words & picture cues, read the basic comprehension question, choose the appropriate image tile, and place it in the box at the bottom of the page.

 

Level 1 books:

-use predictable patterns

-have 1-2 simple sentence on each page

-include basic sight words

-include some CVC words

-include picture cues (in the illustrations & with rebus clues)

-ask basic re-tell questions rephrasing the text, also with basic sight words and simple picture cues.

-focus on ‘Who,’ ‘What,’ ‘When,’ and ‘Where’ questions

 

Level 2 books:

-have 2-3 simple sentences on each page

-include basic sight words

-include some CVC words and easily decodable words (i.e. words that follow simple pattern rules)

-include some picture cues (in the illustrations & with rebus clues in the comprehension questions)

-ask basic re-tell questions rephrasing the text, also with basic sight words and simple picture cues.

-focus on ‘Who,’ ‘What,’ ‘When,’ and ‘Where’ questions

Level 3 books:

-have 3-4 more complex sentences on each page

-include sight words of varying difficulty

-include some CVC words and easily decodable words (i.e. words that follow simple pattern rules)

-ask basic re-tell & inferencing questions

-focus on ‘Who,’ ‘What,’ ‘Why,’ and ‘Where’ questions
