Item description

This fall coordinate plane symmetry activity is sure to get some smiles from your math students, while also getting them some great graphing practice. Students plot the coordinate pairs in order, connecting them with a line until they come to the word STOP. Here they stop the line they are working on and start a new one. When all of the coordinate pairs are plotted their picture is still only half done! They will have Quadrants II and III finished and will then use their symmetry skills to reflect the picture across the y-axis to finish their mystery picture. When they are done they have a fun picture to color, perfect for celebrating the fall season.

Two mystery pictures are included with this set: Red Fox and Mushroom House.

Included with this resource:

  • Coordinate grid
  • Coordinate pairs to plot
  • Instructions
  • Reference sheet to display while discussing strategies for reflecting points
  • Answer keys

These mystery pictures are in all four quadrants and uses whole numbers only.
