February is a month filled with fun activities about shadows, valentines, birthdays and the human body. We will have a great time celebrating love and learning about our shadows and how we grow up each year. We will also learn about healthy eating and exercise.

☀ WEEK ONE: SHADOW FUN

Day 5 Me & My Shadow

This week we will learn about shadows and how sunlight or light can make shadows. We will also have a fun Peter Pan day as we learn how he lost his shadow.

☀ WEEK TWO: BE MY VALENTINE

Day 1 I Love You

Day 2 Letter Qq

Day 3 Our Friend, the Mail Carrier

Day 4 Shape Heart

Day 5 Valentine Fun Day

February 14th is Valentine’s Day so we will spend this week discussing love and how we show each other we care. The children will have fun making valentine projects.

☀ WEEK THREE: BIRTHDAY BASH

Day 1 Happy Birthday to Me

Day 2 Letter Rr

Day 3 President’s Birthday

Day 4 Color Pink

Day 5 Birthday Party

This week it will be everyone’s birthday! We will learn how we get older and grow each year. We will also learn about the President’s birthdays that we celebrate in February.

☀ WEEK FOUR: THE HUMAN MOTOR

Day 1 My Body Machine

Day 2 Review Letters Pp, Qq, Rr, and Number 8

Day 3 Dental Health

Day 4 Healthy Foods

Day 5 Exercise

Children need to learn at a young age how important it is to take care of our bodies. This week we will learn about healthy eating and exercise. We will also learn how our body works and how to take care of our teeth.

FEBRUARY CONCEPTS TAUGHT:

Letters P, Q and R.

Number 8.

Shape Heart.

Color Pink.

The community helper is the Mail Carrier.

Our fire drill is scheduled for Week One.

Our tornado drill is scheduled for Week Four

This program will assist you in implementing an early learning program covering many interests; early learning program, morning social, creative art, early mathematics, literacy language, science, music & movement, fitness, health, small and large motor skills and nutrition. All of which should be introduced and taught in the preschool years.
