Item description

This open ended geometric reasoning project was created with the help of my students. Our logic unit is mini (about two weeks) so I challenge the students to come up with something creative so that the topics will stick with them. Students will pick an aspect relating to logic vocabulary (law of syllogisms vs law of detachment, conditional statements, inverses and more) and find a way to convey their knowledge of geometry logic terms. Most students will pick a poster or google slide originally as it’s the easiest option. Once they realize they can only score an 80 most students change their mind and begin to think outside of the box. I spend about 15 minutes of class discussing the project and then give them one week to complete the project. This includes a rubric where the students also grade themselves before turning in the project.

This includes a second project that is more knowledge based. I allow students to choose which project they want to complete so that the right and left brained students have a choice.

Also includes a third project relating to conditional statements, inverses, converses and contrapositives.
