Item description
This two page worksheet has two parts and a total of ten questions. Part one has an informational text about chromosomes, haploid cells, and diploid cells. Students use the text to answer five questions. Part two has an incomplete data table where students determine the number of haploid or diploid cells of each animal. Then students answer five questions by applying the information from the data table and informational text. A full answer key is included.
Why you’ll love this assignment:
- A short reading passage provides background information for students to learn or review the content.
- The variety of questions are scaffolded from easiest to hardest so students can build confidence with their understanding of the material.
- It’s a little more exciting to look at than a regular ol’ worksheet.
- It’s versatile: use it as an introduction, review, homework, assessment, or sub plan.
- A complete answer key is included to save you time and help you (or your substitute) explain content to your students.
