Homework on Time

H.O.T. Tickets are so much fun! H.O.T. stands for Homework On Time; when students bring in their homework with evidence of a legitimate attempt, they earn a H.O.T. Ticket. When they have accumulated your required number of tickets, they earn a night of “no homework” pass.

I talk to my students about holding on to their “no homework” pass until they need it; for example, they may have a late sports practice, a family birthday party, a night of holiday gift shopping. Then, instead of turning in their homework the next day, they turn in their Night Off pass. Trust me, they love it and you will like having homework done with integrity.
