How to Prep/Use:

• Simply print and laminate or print and place full sized building block mats into a sheet protector
• Students count the number of each size of block needed and record the number on the mat with a dry erase marker
• Students build the block picture
• Some mats include the option to trace a word
• Use one of the optional recording sheets to extend the activity and add a writing component
• Use the smaller sized mats as task cards (They fit perfectly in photo storage boxes!)

Use these with any building block/building bricks that you may have (Lego, Make It Blocks, etc.). Instruct students to match the exact colors as the mats show or encourage them to make substitutions/changes as necessary.
