Item description

Students love tackling logic puzzles, and these nine ”Level 3” grid puzzles are a high level difficulty in my logic puzzle leveling system. They’re fun for students and encourage critical thinking and the use of deductive reasoning. Logic grid puzzles require students to determine the relationship between different people, places, and things based on a few clues using logic and reasoning.

My level 3 puzzles involve double relationships and some also involve sequence and order. They appear roughly in order of difficulty (although this differs for each person). There’s a large grade range on this resource, because I’ve seen fourth graders solve these, but I’ve also seen adults that struggle with some and find a couple quite tricky!

Included in this resource are:

  • Nine level 3 logic puzzles (both printable & digital versions included)
  • A quick guide to solving level 3 puzzles
  • Answer keys for all logic puzzles

*You download will be a .zip file that includes the printable logic puzzles and the digital logic puzzles via Google Slides. The digital version comes in an 8.5×11 format with text boxes already inserted.

How do students solve these puzzles?

Students will use the clues provided and fill in the grids with Xs (if that relationship cannot be a match based on the clues) or √ marks/stars (if the relationship is a match based on the clues). A quick guide is available in the download to briefly explain how to start solving these level 3 puzzles.
