A fun way to practice the phonics skill, BEGINNING CONSONANT BLENDS! This phonics game will help students practice BEGINNING CONSONANT DIGRAPHS (BLENDS) (CH, PH, SH, TH, WH). This game is a great addition to literacy and/or word work centers, or stations, and small group instruction. It’s also handy to have ready as a choice for early finishers to play with a buddy!

Players spin a phonics spinner and try to be the first one to find a matching word with the correct beginning consonant blend on their section of the game board. The first player to get all four of his or her seashell game markers on the sandcastle game board wins!
