This resource has everything you need in one place to teach the Long i vowel sounds of ie, igh, and y. Your students will be engaged and enjoy learning. I’ve just made your life a little easier by provided everything you need to get ready and teach.

Activities Included:

1. Sort and Flip-The children will sort the words into up to 3 groups, words that have ie, igh, or y in them. When the children complete the activity they turn the cards over and if they completed it correctly it makes a picture. The children are always amazed by the picture that the activity makes.

2. Finish It!-Children will place igh, i, y, and ie into word cards to complete the words.

3. Puzzles– Children will read and put together a variety of puzzles according to whether they should have i_e, ie, y, or igh in them.

4. Game Board– Children will move their pieces around the game board by reading ie, i_e, igh, or y words.

5. Clip It!- Learning Center using clothespins.

6. 14 Various b&w ready to copy worksheets.
