This is a fun craft activity for Martin Luther King Jr. Day or Black History Month that uses a standard, uncoated paper plate to create a wreath that’s decorated with peace signs, a heart, a dove and the word “dream.” Students will have fun painting their paper plate, coloring and cutting out their wreath decorations, and finally gluing them on.

Supplies you will need for this project:
- Paper plates – standard 9” uncoated
- Light blue paint and brushes
- Coloring supplies and scissors
- Glue sticks
*****HELPFUL TIP: If you are running low on crayons in skin tones, Crayola has an awesome 24 crayon set called “Colors of the World,” and I highly recommend it! Pick up a box or two and pass them around to table groups.
