Understanding how to express the fraction of a group is not a difficult idea for children to grasp. Because they seem to catch on quickly, there can be a tendency to want to move on to the next concept too quickly. This means we do not take the time to properly consolidate understanding.

  • Print, laminate and cut into individual cards.
  • Print student sheet and provide each student with an answer sheet.
  • Distribute the cards around the room (or allocate your desired number of cards for use in a math rotation/center)
  • Check answers
