Item description

This task card printable helps children reinforce the concept of counting coins. Children will add up all the coins on the carton of milk. There is a combination of half-dollars, quarters, dimes, nickles, and pennies.There are also milk cartons with coins that has the value on them for differentiation. Then find the amount on the glass of milk. Put both on the mat. Each carton has a number so as to record answers on the sheet that is provided.

Suggestions, tips, and differentiation:

* Can be used for assessment purposes.

* Can be used in small group or at a math center.

* Can be used in whole group as in circle time.

* The glasses can be used to order coin amounts from least to greatest or vice versa.

 

Self-Checking:

If separated, put a matching sticker on the backs of the pieces that go together. When the child is finished, have them turn over the cards to see if the stickers match..
