What is this?

This is an organized printable booklet that allows students to find their ideal pet rock. They will describe what color their pet rock will be and compare it to another object that matches the color they describe, the same will apply towards the rock size, texture and weight.

Why do I need this?

Because it’s FUN! If you have a rock unit, you can incorporate this mini activity into your lesson so students can derive similarities between objects texture, weight, size and color. If you don’t have a rock unit, this can be used as a fun, standalone activity. It encourages students to think and enhances their abilities to perform correlations between their ideal rock and other objects in the world.
