November Math and Literacy Calendar Worksheet

Item description

This Math and Literacy Calendar Worksheet for the month of November teaches students how to use a calendar. They look at a sample calendar and answer questions related to holidays, special days, weather, days of the week, etc.

★ Literacy Integration

Students must read the month, days of the week, special days, holidays, etc. They use information gained from the source/text (calendar) to answer questions. Students must also use general tracking skills from left to right, top to bottom to search the calendar for dates or holidays.

★ Math Integration

Calendar Math is a great way to incorporate Math into any class. Students have to count how many days were sunny or “Count down to the 4th Sunday”. Every calendar asks students “How many days are in the month of ____?” Students must also know and be able to demonstrate cardinality when it comes to calendar dates. (Ex. “What holiday is celebrated on the 28th of November?”)
