- Day 1. What’s Inside a Pumpkin?
- Day 2. Letter D
- Day 3. Pumpkin Play
- Day 4. The Three Little Pigs
- Day 5. Scarecrows
This week will start the month off by exploring pumpkins and learning about scarecrows. We will learn how pumpkins grow and what they look like on the inside. We will also study scarecrows and what they are used for.
- Day 1. It’s Harvest Time
- Day 2. Letter E
- Day 3. Exploring Leaves
- Day 4. Number 4
- Day 5. Animals in Autumn
Its harvest time and we will study fruits and vegetables and how farmers harvest their crops. We will also explore leaves and what happens to them in the fall. We will finish this week by studying animals that are active in autumn, such as squirrels and owls.

- Day 2. Letter F
- Day 3. Stop, Drop, & Roll
- Day 4. Triangle Day
- Day 5. Fire Safety Review
This week will focus on our friend, the firefighter, and fire safety. We will learn how to stop, drop and roll and how and when to dial 9-1-1. We will practice our fire drill and review all fire safety rules.

- Day 3. Ghosts & Witches
- Day 4. Orange Day
- Day 5. Tricks or Treats
This week is a fun week studying Halloween things. We will discuss spiders and ghosts and witches. We will also learn safety rules for trick or treating and have fun playing some Halloween games.
OCTOBER CONCEPTS TAUGHT: Letters D, E, F. Numbers 3, 4. Shape: Triangle. Color: Orange. Community Helper: The Firefighter. Fire Drill is scheduled for week one. Emergency drill is scheduled for week four.
