Place Value Activities for Fall is a fun fall-themed resource perfect for place value practice or review! Students will use a 120 grid to complete the place value worksheets! Each fun theme has its own numbers and answer keys.

120 GRID:
Students will count to 120 by filling in the missing numbers. There are two 120 grids to choose from. Students will identify the number represented by each picture on the 120 grid and use these numbers in the additional worksheets.

PLACE VALUE IDENTIFICATION:
Students will use the data from the 120 grid to fill out the worksheets below. Students will understand that the two digits of a two-digit number represent amounts of tens and ones, they will identify how many tens and ones are in each number and build and draw it. Numbers range from 10 to 99. Students can build and draw on their work space page provided.  1.NBT.B.2

PLACE VALUE UNDERSTANDING:
Students will use the numbers from the 120 grid to complete. They will identify how many tens and ones make up the number. They will demonstrate that a ten is a bundle of 10 ones and that a two-digit number has tens and ones. Ex. They will understand that 33 has 3 tens and 3 ones and expand the number to show 30 + 3 = 33. Students will also find 10 more and 10 less than the number.

PLACE VALUE ADDITION:
Students will use the data from the 120 grid to fill out the worksheets below. Students will practice adding one-digit number and multiples of 10 to two-digit numbers. Two different addition pages are provided. One with the tens and ones separated to help understand place value when adding and the other without. Students can build and draw on their work space page provided.   1.NBT.C.4

PLACE VALUE SUBTRACTION:
Students will use the data from the 120 grid to fill out the worksheets below. Students will practice subtracting one-digit numbers from two-digit numbers and multiples of 10 from multiples of 10. Two different subtraction pages are provided. One with the tens and ones separated to help understand place value when subtracting and the other without. Students can build and draw on their work space page provided.  1.NBT.C.6

*Students can start with the tens and ones separated and when they have grasped the concept, move on the pages without the separator.

COMPARING NUMBERS:
Students will use the data from the 120 grid to fill out the worksheets below. Students will compare two two-digit numbers using >, +, and <.

Answer keys are provided for each page.

*Each theme has 120 grids and 7 practice pages. There are 2 different addition pages and 2 different subtraction pages in this resource. Each theme also has 2 differentiated 120 grids.

These are perfect to use as a group, in a center, independent activity, morning work, substitutes, homeschool or for early finishers!
