Here are 28 geoscience process cards to help reinforce the three major plate tectonic boundaries of the earth’s surface. There are 14 matching pairs with images either from a map or from photographs that the students use to match with one of the three boundaries of diverging, converging or transform faults.


These cards can be used in any way that you use a matching game. One of the favorites of my students is the game of “concentration“ where all of the cards are turned face down and the students try to turn over a matched pair, based on their memory of each card’s location.


You can also use these as study guides, center activities or as a gallery walk. I have also had the students use these to find the locations on Google Earth.
