Item description

Need an activity for developing number sense for numbers 0-10 with your kiddos that will be fun and engaging? These hands on cut and paste math puzzles are perfect for getting your students focused on number recognition and counting! With printable and digital versions included, you will be able to use these number identification puzzles no matter what life throws at you – whether you are teaching in person or doing distance learning!

In the puzzles in this resource the numbers 0-10 are represented in the following forms: number symbol, number name, tally, counting fingers, dice, 10 frame, candles on a cake, flowers in a vase and crayons in a box.

I have done all the hard work for you! All you need to do is choose which pages you want, print the no prep sheets and use them! You can even use this fun puzzle resource without printing if you use the Google Slides version I have created!

This fun Number Sense Activities set includes:

  • Clickable contents for easy navigation

  • Teacher information

  • Answer key showing all completed puzzles

  • Worksheets with puzzles for each of the different numbers 0-10

  • Pages with puzzle pieces to find, cut out and paste on the worksheets.

  • 2 Difficulty levels for differentiated learning

  • Easy: The puzzles are self-correcting. All the puzzle pieces for a particular number will fit together, but the pieces for a different number will not fit.

  • Difficult: All puzzle pieces are the same shape and will fit together – whether they are correct or not. Students will need to rely on counting and matching to complete the activity.

  • Colour and Black and White printing options are both included.

  • Digital Google Slides version

Your kiddos will love practising number recognition and developing their number sense as they cut out and match the puzzle pieces together!
