The segmenting and blending sounds literacy activities are a great way to engage your students while building their reading foundational skills. The hands on practice will help them break apart sounds in unknown words to help them learn to read. Each segmented word card also has a matching picture card for the students to find. These activities can also be used for word work during guided reading. There is a bonus distance learning option available too. These are great for whole group, independent learning, and center activities for fun and engaging literacy practice.
A few words are segmented in two ways to accommodate for different ways it can be taught.
