Are you looking for new ways to engage your students that are self-grading, self-checking, and that provide immediate feedback? This 16 Question Task Card Style Sink It! Template for Google Sheets makes creating your own engaging, self-grading, and self-checking activities easy! This Google Sheet template is pre-formulated for you.  All you need to do is add your content (questions) and answers.

This activity is a game where students try to sink 3 ships on a gameboard. Once they answer a question correctly, they can guess a spot (letter, then the number, ex. A2). If it’s a miss, an X will appear. If it’s a hit, an explosion will appear. When they sink a ship, a message will appear. 

You have three versions of the game located in the tabs along the bottom. Just delete the versions you don’t want to use/assign.

➡️ Here is how it works:

Students will complete a task and type their answers in. If they are correct, the answer will turn green, and they will receive a spot to make a guess where a ship may be hiding on the game board. If they are incorrect the box will turn red and they will not receive a guess. Can they sink all three ships before they run out of guesses?

The included spreadsheet is formatted to accept up to two answers. This product can be used for any subject area and any grade level.
