Item description

Shakespeare’s sonnets are as timeless as his plays. Sonnet 30 explores the speaker’s memories, hopes, and frustrations as he surveys his life.

Students will answer a pre-reading question, read and annotate the poem, learn about “the turn,” and respond to questions about literary devices used and the poem itself.

There is also a short response prompt (two per page), and an answer key for you!

These worksheets would be great for looking at the poem as a class, or in small groups.

Please see preview for a closer look.

This is a printable, non-editable PDF.
