Teaching patterning to early learners might seem impossible, but kids catch on to patterning easily with practice! Preschool-aged kids love learning about shapes and colors! So why not use what they’re interested in to teach patterning! There’s lots of cross-over teaching and learning going on with this downloadable, printable activity pack!
These shapes can be used in many different areas of your classroom or at home:
Projects – use for scissor practice and glueing practice with open-ended art
Centers – set up patterns and students can match the patterns or finish the patterns
Circle Time – practice matching shapes, sorting and matching colors, sorting shapes, grouping like shapes together (straight lines, curvy lines . . .)
The shapes can be used as an assessment throughout the school year, too!
13 pages of shapes in multiple colors
