All the sight word books you could ever need! Included in this download are 220 books which cover the entire dolch sight word list!

Each sight word book has a cover and 4 pages. The sentence on each page contains the sight word within a sentence of predictive, emergent level text to help your student learn the sight word and practice reading. The pictures on each page match the text to help with decoding. The pages are formatted for easy copying, cutting, and stapling.
 

I have also doubled each of these 220 books and made them interactive! This means each page of the book will have an activity for students to complete after reading each page. On page 1 of each book, students will trace the sight word. On page 2 of each book, students will color the sight word. On page 3 of each book, students will write the sight word. On page 4 of each book, students will cut out the letters in the words and glue them inside the book in the correct order. See the preview for a close up of an interactive book.

I have also included an editable version of my book template, so you can create any book that you want! Creating an editable book couldn’t be easier. I have included detailed instructions on how to create a book in this download. Simply type into the book title and sentence boxes to edit. All words typed into the cover and pages will auto-size to fit, so your title and sentences can be as long as you need! Since these books are editable, you are definitely no limited to just sight words. Create books for classroom rules, math skills, social studies or science units, or anything else you can think of! The picture box is left blank so you can add clip art images of your choice. My instruction guide will teach you how to easily find and add your own (free!) clip art images so you can make your own custom book!

I like to read a book with my students every day. I have my students read the book and then find the sight word (I call them popcorn words because the words should ‘pop’ out of your mouth) on each page and color the sight word yellow (adding butter). My students then take these books home, or keep them in their book boxes for even more reading practice. I also like to create custom books for my classroom rules and to reinforce ideas from my content units.
