Learning Dolch sight words is fun with this game! Played similarly to (hangman), the students identify sight words by guessing letters. Too many wrong guesses and the daisy is completed. Oh no!! Guess the Dolch sight word correctly and pick another card!

Dolch sight words checklist and cards for PreK, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade included.

DIRECTIONS:

PLAYER 1 – CHOOSE THE WORD. (OR COPY EACH WORD-LETTER GROUP ONTO A DIFFERENT COLOR OF PAPER AND HAVE THE STUDENTS PICK A SIGHT WORD CARD.)

PLAYER 2 – GUESSES THE LETTERS UNTIL THEY GUESS THE WORD!

PLAYER 1 – CROSS OFF EACH LETTER AS IT IS GUESSED. WRITE THE CORRECT LETTERS ON THE CORRECT SPACES. DRAW IN 1 PART OF THE DAISY FOR EACH WRONG LETTER

OR GUESS.

PLAYER 2 – TRY TO GUESS THE WORD BEFORE THE FLOWER IS COMPLETED.

*Each Daisy Sight Word page has a specific number of letter spaces.

Each page is used for multiple sight words. (Ex. 3-letter word page for multiple 3-letter sight words)

Check off the sight word you played on the sight words list to keep track.

Two levels of difficulty.

This is perfect for partners, student teachers, parent helpers, or small groups.
